National SPCA Dublin – Pet Hotel & Doggie Daycare Receptionist

Role Description:

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Full-Time receptionist to join our team at the NSPCA Pet Hotel & Doggie Daycare. As front of house, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, managing enquiries and assisting with administrative tasks to support the operation of the busy Pet Hotel & Doggie Daycare.

This position requires a dedicated individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to multi-task.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Greet and welcome clients and prospective clients in a friendly, professional, and caring manner.
  • Manage phone calls and emails, providing information and answering inquiries about the Pet Hotel, Doggie Daycare, and Dog Training services.
  • Process bookings for the Pet Hotel and Daycare using Revelation Pets, and for Dog Training classes using Eventbrite.
  • Maintain accurate records for upcoming pet guests, including feeding, medication, and special care instructions.
  • Handle payments for the Pet Hotel, Doggie Daycare, Dog Training, and retail purchases.
  • Assist with restocking the on-site retail area and ensuring the shop is tidy and well-presented.
  • Collaborate closely with the Animal Care team to ensure smooth communication and a seamless experience for pets and their owners.
  • Keep the reception area clean, well-organised, and welcoming to all visitors.
  • Provide general administrative support as required to assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Occasionally represent the National SPCA at off-site events to promote our services and engage with the public.

 

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of customer service experience required, ideally in a fast-paced or client-facing environment.
  • A strong passion for animal welfare and a genuine interest in providing exceptional care and service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and volunteers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage bookings, records, and daily tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritising in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g. email, Excel, Word, databases).
  • Weekend availability is required.
