*Dog Owner Surrenders – February 2026 Important Update*

Due to unprecedented demand, we are not currently accepting any new additions to our Dog Owner Surrender waiting list.

There are currently 405+ dogs waiting for a surrender space with the NSPCA. Our resources are stretched to capacity, and we must prioritise the sick, injured and cruelly treated dogs that need our help.

We understand that making the decision to surrender a family pet is incredibly difficult. Surrendering your dog to a shelter should always be a last resort. Our goal is not only to help rehome dogs when absolutely necessary, but also to support families who may be struggling and want to keep their pets.

If you are experiencing behavioural challenges, our Dog Training Team is here to help. Training and guidance can often resolve issues that may feel overwhelming right now. With the right support, many families are able to avoid the heartbreaking decision to give up a beloved pet.

Before beginning the surrender process, we ask that you please take time to carefully consider all options and reach out to us for advice and support.
