The National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) will officially launch this week, marking an important milestone for animal welfare in Ireland.

Formed through the merger of the ISPCA and DSPCA, the NSPCA brings together decades of experience, care and expertise to create a stronger, more unified national voice for animals.
The launch event will bring together government representatives, sector stakeholders and supporters to introduce the organisation, outline its direction, and highlight key priorities for animal welfare across Ireland.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter — one focused on strengthening protections for animals, increasing awareness, and building a more coordinated national approach to animal welfare.
