Say hi to Bainne, our adorable little 3 month old mini lop cross male. Bainne came into the shelter with his mother, Jem, and his 7 siblings! Jem has been an excellent mother and all her babies have been thriving since coming in to us.
Bainne is too young to be neutered yet so he must go to a foster home until he can come back to the shelter to be neutered. We are planning on booking his neuter surgery for the end of September so he will be on foster until then. We are particularly looking for families to foster with the intention of adopting Bainne after his surgery; we call this process ‘fostering-to-adopt’.

Thank you for choosing to foster-to-adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm for two rabbits with plenty of indoor free roam time.
Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.
All our rabbits are microchipped and vaccinated and will be neutered once they are ready.
