Benny

Meet the handsome Benny. He came into the NSPCA through our inspectors at just 3 months only. He had a tough start in life and on arriving he had a heavy worm burden and his
coat dirty and in need of lots of TLC. He was adopted shortly after into a loving home but unfortunately he is being returned to the shelter at 8 months old as he has grown too big for his owner. This is really unfortunate for little Benny as he is now entering his teenage stage of puppyhood which is the most difficult stage for a growing dog and a change in home with be a big adjustment. He will need an owner that will understand this and will give him the time to settle into a new environment. He would benefit from training with his new owner to continue on his training skills throughout his teenage stage. He is still very much a playful puppy. His owner has said Benny is a great dog, he is affectionate and loves attention. He does not understand personal space and will loves to be laying beside you or on you! He is very energetic and loves playing with people and other dogs. Benny would be suited to a home with teenagers or adults and could live with another dog pending a dog meet.

As a breed Staffordshire Bull Terriers are super friendly with so much love to give and make wonderful family pets. They seem to have a constant smile on their face. They are affectionate and love a good snuggle on the sofa, they have the sweetest staffy purr when they snore. They come in various sizes but are generally medium when fully grown. They are a strong breed but are very easily managed with the right harness and lots of yummy treats. They love a good rough and tumble when playing. Loyal and loving – a really good mix. Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terrier crosses must wear a muzzle and be kept on lead when out walking in public areas.
