Haystack is a male Flemish giant rabbit who came into the shelter through our inspectors after being found with other rabbits living in awful conditions. Thankfully he is healthy and quickly learned that we are here to help him, give him treats and cuddles and he is loving it. Being a Flemish giant, Haystack is very large for a rabbit but honestly that makes him all the more cuddly – we just want to pet his little head and big ears all day and he’d happily let us! Haystack will make a wonderful addition to a home with other rabbits or even cats and dogs and we can’t wait to see him loving life with his forever family 🙂
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors in a large run like an ex-pen since Haystack is such a large rabbit, along with plenty of indoor free roam time.
Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.
All our rabbits are microchipped, vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
