Jessica is a lionhead lop cross bun who is about 2 years old. She came into the shelter with our inspectors after being found living in unsuitable conditions. Jessica was quite reserved when she first arrived and understandably so, but after a couple of days she realized quickly that she was able to relax, enjoy her food and her comfortable bed and she’s been so good ever since. While our vet team were spaying Jessica they discovered a large cyst in her abdomen which was removed during the surgery. Jessica recovered well but we don’t know if this is something that might return in the future – it’ll be something the new owner can keep an eye on when they bring her for her regular vet checkups. Jessica would do great in a home that is a little more laid back and maybe with a neutered male bun to be her hus-bun 🙂

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm with plenty of indoor free roam time.

Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.

All our rabbits are microchipped, vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
