Queenie is a 8 month old Angora cross bun who came into the shelter after being found living in horrific conditions. Her gorgeous coat was completed matted and hard causing her alot of pain, and she was living in a tiny enclosure full of animal waste. To make matters worse, she had just given birth to three day-old babies when she was found. She was rushed up from the other end of Ireland to Dublin where she could get immediate care. We worried that with all the moving around that she would reject her babies, but despite everything she was the absolute best mom. Her boys grew up quickly and have since gone to a foster home until they’re old enough to be neutered and find forever homes. Queenie was very glad to have a pod all to herself and not have to share food anymore! She is now ready to find her own home and there is no bun who deserves it more than this absolute Queen 🙂
Thank you for choosing to adopt a small animal from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm for one rabbit with plenty of indoor free roam time.
Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.
All our rabbits are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
