Meet Sully! This handsome guy came into our care originally as a young puppy with his siblings. He was adopted shortly after, and has spent the last three years as a loved family pet, but unfortunately his family are no longer in a position to care for him, and he is looking for his new home. Sully is a very active boy, as his breed mix are both high energy dogs who require lots of mental stimulation on top of their physical exercise. He loves his time outdoors exploring and playing chase or long walks, however he can be strong on the lead and would benefit from further training to help this. Sully is a big puppy at heart, that just loves having fun and would love to find a family who are looking for an active, energetic dog to become their adventure buddy! After a day of fun activities, Sully is also a great cuddler and loves to curl up on the couch next to you. Sully could live with another playful dog pending a meet. He is best suited to a home with teenagers as he can be bouncy and excitable. Could Sully be the fun loving companion you have been looking for?

How adoption works

Take some time to get to know the animals looking for homes and read their stories to see who might be a good fit for you. If you’d like to move forward, you can complete an application online by registering your interest.
Please note: submitting an application does not guarantee a specific animal — we carefully match each animal with the right home.

Come in and speak with our rehoming team about the animal you’re interested in. If they’ve already been reserved, we’ll be happy to introduce you to another animal who may be a good match for your home and lifestyle.
Opening hours:
- NSPCA Dublin: Tuesday – Sunday, 12–4pm (no appointment needed)
- NSPCA Longford: Monday – Sunday, 12–4pm (no appointment needed)
- NSPCA Wicklow: Monday – Sunday, 12–4pm (no appointment needed)
- NSPCA Cork: By appointment only

All members of the household should meet the animal before adoption.
- If you have an existing dog, a dog-to-dog meet will be arranged
- For dogs, a home check will be carried out before adoption – either in person or virtually
- For cats, we may ask for details or photos of your home set-up
Our team will guide you through what’s needed to ensure the right match.

Once your application is approved, we’ll arrange an adoption appointment. On the day, you’ll bring your new companion home and begin your life together.
You will need to:
- Be over 18
- Provide photo ID and proof of address
- Provide landlord permission if renting (where applicable)
- Agree to our adoption terms
Adoption fees vary depending on the animal and contribute towards essential care such as neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and parasite treatments.
Important:
Please bring a suitable, secure carrier (for cats and small animals) or lead and collar/harness (for dogs) to take your pet home safely.
If you don’t have these, they are available to purchase in our on-site shop.
