Tara came into the NSPCA through our inspectors with a very badly broken leg. X-rays were taken and our vets decided the best option for her would be to amputate the leg. Tara has spent some time in a wonderful foster home while she was recovering and she got on great. She has very quickly gotten used to being on 3 legs and it doesn’t slow her down from doing plenty of zoomies and fun activities. As Tara is still young she would benefit from some basic obedience training in her forever home to help her settle and be the best girl she can be. Her new family will need to be prepared to give her time to settle in her new environment as she has been through so much change. Tara would love a family where she can be brought along on lots of adventures and have a nice cozy couch to snuggle up on in the evening. She will be best suited to a home with teenagers who are used to larger dogs. She could live with another playful dog pending a dog meet.
