Turtle is a beautiful young girl, estimated to be around 1 year old, who is ready to find a quiet and understanding home of her own.
Turtle originally came into our care to have her babies, and now that her mum duties are over, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled!
Turtle is currently enjoying some time in foster care, where she has been opening up really well. She is an inquisitive and sweet girl at heart, but there is an important side of Turtle that her new family will need to understand — she is currently very scared of being handled.
Turtle isn’t ready to be picked up or fussed over just yet, and she will need someone who is willing to put in the time to earn her trust rather than expecting her to become a lap cat overnight. She needs plenty of patience, understanding and her own personal space, allowing her to come around in her own time.
As she becomes more comfortable and learns that she is safe, we’re hopeful that we’ll continue to see more of her lovely personality shine through.
Turtle would suit a quiet, calm home with someone who understands that sometimes the best way to show a nervous cat love is simply to give them the time and space they need.
She’s already making wonderful progress, and with the right person by her side, we’re sure this sweet little girl has so much more to discover.
