Star

Star came into the shelter through our inspectors in search of her forever home. When she first arrived, she found shelter life quite stressful and struggled with being left alone, but she has come a long way since then.

At just 1 year old, Star is still very much a puppy, full of energy, curiosity, and personality. She has the drive of a Beagle with the quirks and charm of a Bulldog, making her a fun and lively companion.

Star would thrive in an active home that is committed to training and can provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation. She will need time, patience and understanding as she settles into a new environment, but she has so much love to give in return.

She absolutely loves her walks and is happiest when out exploring with staff and volunteers, often picking up sticks along the way to proudly carry with her! Star would also benefit from a home where someone is around most of the time to keep her company.

She would be best suited to an owner experienced with her breeds, particularly Bulldogs, and a home with teenagers who are comfortable around bigger, bouncy dogs. Star loves to run, chase, and wrestle with her doggy friends, so she could potentially live with another dog who matches her energy and playful style.

“Just a few words on Star: she is an amazing girl. She is so much fun with a lot of go but happily settles in a routine. She loves her walks, loves a good wrestle with our dog Dakota and is just bursting with affection. She absolutely loves attention. She’d also cuddle you to death if you let her. So if someone out looking for endless cuddles, she’s the one. Crawling in and under blankets and throws you have on you for a sneaky nap I think was her favourite. She toilet trained no accidents at all.”
