Buggy is a 1-2 year old female lionhead rabbit who came into us with our inspectors after her owner could no longer look after her. She was quite shy when she first arrived and although still quite quiet, she is gradually learning to trust us. Buggy has been such a sweetheart since coming in to us and has not caused a day’s trouble. We think she would be best in a more quiet home with older children which has a more calm vibe. She would also do well with a neutered male rabbit who might help her gain some more confidence.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm with plenty of indoor free roam time.
Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.
All our rabbits are microchipped, vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
